I’m not going to go into a long story here and say a lot about Graville Island. Everyone in Vancouver knows what it is, where it is, and what they have there. I just wanted to take a couple of shots on this nice day and show them off here. I really like going to the market there to buy my ingredients fresh. They have so much more selection than the regular supermarkets. I can get really creative with my cooking when I shop here. I used to go to the South China Seas Trading Co. to buy my spices. But I’ve found these days that a lot of the spices I need can easily be bought at Save-On Foods or Superstore in the ethnic food isle. The same spices if bought here or by any North American company, will charge you 4 or 5 times more the price for a much smaller amount. Continue reading
