WIS – Where I Shop

As we grow as cooks in our own kitchen, I think it’s important that we take the time to understand our ingredients better and where they come from. As my journey continues to learn the best ways to cook at home, and how to cook the cheapest and the best tasting food, I will share with you some of the places that I have discovered to find amazing and fresh ingredients. Shopping at major grocery stores can be good if you’re on a budget and need to save that extra little bit, but I find that many times what I buy at Superstore or Safeway is much more than I need to use, and I also don’t know where the food I’m buying came from, or how it came to be. This concern has brought me to explore smaller grocers and shops across the city. Here I will share with you some of my top pics for whatever you might be looking for!
